The Interregional Association "Irbis" in Russia organizes expeditions and raids, and implements projects on ecological education and informing the local population. The Association, in collaboration with the Board of Trustees of the Sailugemsky National Park, is engaged in the restoration of the Irbis habitat on the Argut, where approximately 23 snow leopards currently reside, and it has once again become the largest in Russia in terms of numbers.

Achievements of the Interregional IRBIS Association

Since 2021, the Irbis Association has provided support and implementation for numerous projects, events, and initiatives.
This is unique footage of a snow leopard in the Russian wilderness. Nikolai Nikolayevich Drozdov and Konstantin Khabensky provide the voice-over for the film.
The Irbis Association and the Sailugem National Park have released a summary of the results of the count of Altai mountain sheep (Argali) in the transboundary zone of Russia and Mongolia.
The number of visitors has already exceeded several million people.
More than 17,000 people visited the exhibition.
A vibrant mural depicting snow leopard kittens has been painted on a wall in proximity to the Barrikadnaya metro exit in Moscow.
International expeditions of scientists to Mongolia, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan are planned for the purpose of exchanging experiences and conducting scientific field studies on irbis conservation. These expeditions will be led by experts from the Republics of Altai, Tyva, Buryatia, Krasnoyarsk Krai, and Irkutsk Oblast.
The Interregional Association "Irbis" is committed to strengthening its conservation partnerships. To this end, it has signed cooperation agreements with key conservation organizations in the field of irbis conservation.
Over 150 events to raise environmental awareness were held in the Altai Republic, with a total attendance of 12,000 individuals.
A series of anti-poaching operations have been conducted in the habitats of snow leopards and Altai mountain sheep. These operations have received support in the form of fuel, machinery, and equipment.
Saker falcons were released into the Altai wilderness to restore the number of the rare species.
The tour of the children’s choreographic performance "Guardians of the Mountain Peaks" reached thousands of spectators in the habitat of the snow leopard.
