Tour of the children's choreographic performance "Guardians of the Mountain Peaks"

Two years ago, the inaugural Russian dance production about the irbis, titled "Guardians of the Mountain Peaks," premiered in the Altai Republic. This initiative was conceived by the Sailugem National Park and the dance and recreation studio "Stimul" in Gorno-Altaisk.Collaborating with their partners, they undertook the creation of costumes, music, and a script for this distinctive performance.
The production draws inspiration from the true story of a female Vita and her two kittens. Unfortunately, the irbis family is killed by poachers in the play’s narrative. However, the play’s conclusion is positive, as it features the local residents saving the animals. The actors perform with emotional authenticity, ensuring that the audience cannot watch the production indifferently.
The Interregional Association "Irbis" facilitated the performance’s presentation in the Altai Republic, marking the dancers' inaugural tour. The children and adults traveled to nine municipalities in the Altai Republic, visited Moscow, and engaged over 2,500 individuals in discussions on the pressing issue of preserving rare and endangered species. In addition to performances in district centers and villages, the children engaged the audience through dance and play, emphasizing the fragility of nature and the importance of its preservation. The artists were among the first to visit Moscow at the unique exhibition "Irbis — invisible cat. See and Preserve," organized by the Irbis Association and the Tretyakov Gallery.
