The Irbis Association is dedicated to instilling a sense of responsibility and care for the natural world among youth residing in areas where snow leopards are present. The future of these iconic predators hinges on the awareness and commitment of the next generation.
In alignment with this commitment, nature conservation activities were recently conducted in schools across the Altai Republic. These activities included educational lessons for children residing in remote villages within the irbis’s habitat, as well as in Gorno-Altaisk, the capital of the region. These lessons were facilitated by the dedicated staff of the Sailugemsky National Park, with the support of the Interregional Association "Irbis."In addition, the Interregional Association "Irbis" generously donated gifts to the schoolchildren of the boarding school in the Altai village of Beltir. The Interregional Association "Irbis" partnered with the Sailugemsky National Park to provide gifts to the pupils of the small boarding school in the remote high-mountain village of Beltir. This annual tradition of nature conservationists is a testament to their commitment to the community and the preservation of the environment. The children of shepherds from the Kosh-Agach district of the Altai Republic live and study at the boarding school.
