The representatives convened on November 6−7 in Kyzyl, the capital of the Republic of Tyva, to deliberate on the accomplishments and collaborative initiatives between the two nations. The Irbis Association, a prominent proponent of these initiatives, has been instrumental in promoting eco-education, monitoring snow leopards and argalis, safeguarding wildlife, facilitating the exchange of conservationist experiences, and facilitating bilateral internships.
This fall, the Irbis Association supported the counting of the number and condition of the Altai mountain sheep in the transboundary zone of the two countries, a task fixed by the agreement within the framework of the Commission’s work. The experts will also discuss the study and protection of the bustard, reforestation in Mongolia, etc.

Representatives of governmental structures and specially protected natural areas from the Mongolian side also participated in the work of the Commission.
