"The idea of shooting a film about a snow leopard belongs to our general producer and ideological inspirer Ali Uzdenov. Three years of filming in the wild in Russia. It was a difficult project that required us to have the willpower and endurance of our main characters. The audience will see the amazing life story of Tural the badger. The film contains unique footage of a snow leopard, hunting scenes, and baby leopards. We tried to show the beauty and wealth of our Altai Mountains."
— Daria Petrova, screenwriter of the film, director of the Association "Irbis"
"Why, actually, a snow leopard? Firstly, it is an amazingly beautiful cat, a noble animal. It is almost impossible to meet her. The snow leopard is sometimes called the ghost of the mountains, it is so inconspicuous and merges with the mountains. Secondly, it is a symbol for many indigenous peoples of Russia. The snow leopard lives at high altitudes, sometimes reaching over 5,000 meters, where conditions are very harsh and very cold. And due to his endurance, inner strength, he survives. Our task was to draw attention to the disappearance of the snow leopard in Russia. More recently, their population in the country numbered no more than 75 individuals. At the cost of great efforts, the fight against poaching and educational work, there are now 87 of them. But it’s still a critical number. It is a great honor for us that legendary people Nikolai Nikolaevich Drozdov and Konstantin Yurievich Khabensky took part in the film."
Daria Petrova added.
"The premiere of this film is a big and exciting event for us. Filming took three years, and editing took more than six months. It's a special movie for me because I grew up in Altai. This is my personal declaration of love for my small homeland."

A snow leopard was born in Sailyugemsky National Park, which was named Tural, which means "immortal" in Altaic. During the winter feeding shortage, all his fellow badgers died, and Tural turned out to be the only survivor. When the threat to his life was over, he disappeared from the view of the park staff. What difficulties will he have to face in the wild? Will he survive? Will he return to his native Sailugem?

The film was shot in Sailyugemsky National Park in the Altai Republic on the initiative and with the support of the Interregional Association "Center for the Study and Conservation of the Snow Leopard "Irbis". The team has been working on the painting for three years and has been on several large-scale expeditions on the trails of snow leopards. The cameramen managed to capture unique footage of the most elusive and mysterious cat in the world and the incredible beauty of the Altai Republic. For the first time, viewers will see such a detailed film about the life of snow leopards.
