"Irbis" Association — Winner of the "Komsomolskaya Pravda" National Environmental Award

The project "Population Census of the Argali Mountain Sheep in the Transboundary Zone of Russia and Mongolia" has been named a laureate in the "Eco-Initiative" category following the public vote for the prestigious environmental award presented by our friends at Komsomolskaya Pravda.
The argali is a keystone species of high-mountain ecosystems and the primary prey of the snow leopard. When the argali population declines, the predator is left with insufficient food—increasing the risk of attacks on domestic livestock. Thus, the conservation and monitoring of the argali population is not only a contribution to science but also to harmony between nature and humanity.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Komsomolskaya Pravda for years of fruitful cooperation, trust, support, and the opportunity to share our mission with millions of readers! A significant and important interview with Ali Uzdenov, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the "Irbis" Association, was recently published on the Komsomolskaya Pravda website.
And, of course, a huge thank you to all friends of the snow leopard for your love, support, and belief in our cause. Together, we are strong!
