The team of the "Irbis" Association presented its expertise in biodiversity conservation at one of the year’s most important discussion platforms. Daria Petrova, Director of the Association, was a speaker in the session "Scales of Balance: How to Harmonise the Conservation and Use of Biodiversity".

In her speech, Daria spoke about:

The Association’s priority projects—studying and preserving the snow leopard (irbis). It was for this species that we began our journey, and its fate is an indicator of the health of mountain ecosystems.
The close work with our partners—scientific institutes, businesses, nature reserves, and volunteers. This synergy is indispensable.
Crucially, how we work with specially protected natural areas to find that very 'golden mean' between nature protection and economic activity.
"The scales of balance will not tip into danger only when we act together. By uniting the efforts of the state, business, and public organisations, we are able to preserve biodiversity for future generations," she concluded.
