The final of the All‑Russian competition "Bolshaya Peremena" took place in Krasnoyarsk

The Irbis Association acted as a partner of the event and organised a two‑day creative workshop for the participants. About 50 young people from all over Russia took part not just in a traditional masterclass, but in a two‑day workshop, the main task of which was to create a vivid, simple, yet emotional and creative video clip with a call to protect the snow leopard. The programme was packed with activities! To support the young participants, the team of the Irbis Association and our friends from the Sayano‑Shushensky Reserve:
  • shared insights on how to write and film about nature in a way that inspires people to listen and help;
  • immersed the kids in the world of nature filmmaking and the behind‑the‑scenes secrets of the unique film "Хозяин Алтайских гор" ("The Master of the Altai Mountains") — the schoolchildren learned how much effort, patience, and technical tricks go into every shot of the elusive snow leopard;
  • surprised them with stories about the snow leopards of the Western Sayan and camera traps — the "eyes of the forest" that see things humans never will.
For two days, the young participants brainstormed, edited footage, and looked for unconventional approaches to tell their own stories about the snow leopard. During the project presentations, the kids shared how they created their videos, what they learned about the snow leopard, and received advice for their future endeavours.
We congratulate the winners of the competition, which was very difficult to judge. The teams received the following prizes:
  • 1st place — stylish mobile cameras for shooting masterpieces;
  • 2nd place — stabilisers for the perfect shot, even when filmed with a smartphone;
  • 3rd place — tripods, so that videos can be shot anywhere.
Every year, the geography of our friends grows, and the energy of the organisers and participants of "Bolshaya Peremena" spreads a positive vibe for a long time to come! The Irbis Association thanks the organisers from the Movement of the Firsts and the "Bolshaya Peremena" team for their cooperation and for providing the venue. Dear young people, preserve nature, study the snow leopard (irbis), and never stop creating!
