Screening of the movie about the movie "Master of the Altai mountains" was held at the Museon

On Wednesday, a screening of the film "Master of the Altai Mountains" was held at Museon. Prior to the screening, Vadim Vitovtsev and Alkhaz Stvanba, the director and cameraman of the film, respectively, delivered a presentation on the snow leopard. They discussed the importance and uniqueness of the irbis, a subject that was also addressed by representatives of the Moscow Zoo prior to the screening.
They discussed their experience of participating in a particularly arduous filming process, which lasted a minimum of three years, and recounted the numerous challenges the team faced in the mountains, including mountain sickness and poachers' traps.
We were informed of the necessity for hunting, and that we needed a narrative of family and love. We were able to fulfill these requirements, and the bar was set high, but we succeeded in meeting these expectations.
Vadim Vitovtsev, director of the movie.
"Film about the movie" immerses viewers in the history of the creation of the cult picture, reveals some of the secrets of the shooting process and tells about the people who stood at the origins of the film. The audience was able to learn about how difficult scenes were shot in the harsh conditions of the Altai Mountains and what difficulties the crew had to overcome.
After the screening there was a discussion with the creators of the movie, where the audience could ask questions and share their impressions. "Backstage" turned out to be incredibly interesting, touching and informative, and therefore left no one indifferent. After all, it allowed us to look at the snow leopard from a new perspective and learn what great efforts are made by people involved in its protection and conservation.
