"Master of the Altai mountains" is now on OKKO

The film, a documentary about the snow leopard, is notable for its monumental and aesthetically pleasing cinematography, which captures the poignant history of the snow leopards of Altai. The film transports viewers to the Altai Republic, where rare spotted predators reside in their natural habitat.
The narrative is enriched by the presence of familiar and respected voices, including zoologist and TV presenter Nikolai Drozdov and actor Konstantin Khabensky, who provides the voice-over for the film.
The plot is set in the Altai Mountains, where the viewer encounters an irbis kitten that has recently emerged into the world. Employees of the national park "Sailugemsky" bestow upon the kitten the name Tural, which translates to "immortal" in the Altai language. Tural is the sole survivor of the barbis brothers, having endured the winter feeding season. Subsequent to the threat’s abatement, the baby’s whereabouts became obscured from the national park staff. The inquiry into his survival in the wild and potential return to his native Sailugem is a focal point of the narrative.
I was delighted to participate in the voice-over for this film, which is figuratively referred to as "The Master of the Altai Mountains." Indeed, the snow leopard can be regarded as the master of the Altai Mountains within the animal kingdom. Have you ever pondered the sheer number of species within the Felidae family that I have encountered? I can confidently assert that the irbis is unparalleled in its aesthetic and agility among wild cats worldwide. This species is not only aesthetically pleasing, but also a formidable predator, perfectly adapted to the most inhospitable environments. Our collective responsibility is to safeguard the leopard, providing it with assistance during challenging periods, and, most importantly, to perpetually observe and study this resplendent creature, as awe-inspiring and enigmatic as its native mountains.
Nikolay Drozdov.
There are currently approximately 90 snow leopards in Russia. The objective of the film "The Master of the Altai Mountains" is twofold: to raise awareness about the decline in snow leopard population and to advocate for the conservation of the species within our nation.
