The past days at the "Artek" international children’s centre have been filled with events dedicated to nature conservation and the protection of rare animal species.
Daria Petrova, Director of the "Irbis" Association, held motivational meetings and discussions for participants of the "Bolshaya Peremena" competition.
The children immersed themselves in the world of protected areas, learned about the life of the snow leopard and the various projects of the "Irbis" Association, and watched the film "Master of the Altai Mountains," posing a great number of questions to the speaker.
Particularly touching were the award ceremonies, which honoured talented schoolchildren—winners of the competition’s various tracks.
A discussion with Artek’s international participants also explored why it is crucial to protect rare species across the globe.
The programme culminated in a solemn closing ceremony for the session, which featured a greeting to the participants from the President of Russia, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin.
The "Irbis" Association extends its gratitude to the All-Russian "Bolshaya Peremena" Competition for the opportunity to meet such interesting and talented young people!
We are confident that, together, we can achieve even more for Russia’s nature!
