Since 2021, the "Irbis" Association has provided comprehensive support to a large-scale programme for the reintroduction of the Saker Falcon, implemented in the Sailugemsky National Park in the Altai Republic.
This collaborative work has yielded significant results: 61 individuals of the endangered Saker Falcon have been successfully released into their natural habitat.
This achievement was highlighted by Daria Petrova, Director of the "Irbis" Association, during the session "Legal Frameworks and Successful Practices in the Conservation and Reintroduction of Falcons" at the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF).
This work makes a substantial contribution to the restoration of endangered species and the preservation of Russia’s biological diversity.
As part of the EEF’s business programme, dedicated to the Day of the Falcon, a grand opening ceremony was held for the thematic "Falcon House" pavilion.
The event’s objective is to promote activities focused on the conservation and restoration of falcon populations in Russia. The opening was supported by the Interregional Association "Irbis," represented by Ali Mussaеvich Uzdenov, with the backing of the "Living Nature and World" fund.
The opening of the "Falcon House" pavilion will undoubtedly foster the development of environmental initiatives and draw public attention to issues of environmental protection, particularly concerning the Saker Falcon and its habitats.
