Interregional association "irbis" became a partner of the ecological festival

On May 25, the XIV Ecological Festival, entitled "Land of the Snow Leopard," was held in Lenin Square, Gorno-Altaisk. This festival, which had been in the planning stages since February, united schoolchildren and snow leopard enthusiasts. The Interregional Association "Irbis" served as the event’s partner.

Noteworthy highlights of the event included a solemn procession of children attired as snow leopards and a competition featuring creative performances. The judging panel identified the winners in three distinct age categories and several distinct categories, including "Spotted crafts," "Artistic snow leopard," "Drawing Irbis," and "Spotted poetry," among others.

The primary prize, accompanied by a certificate from the Association "Irbis" valued at 150 thousand rubles and a wooden trophy modeled after the head of a snow leopard (nomination "Friends-Barsyata"), was awarded to the "Snow Leopards" from Ongudai district.
The snow leopard serves as a symbol of nature and the aesthetic appeal of our nation. Over the course of three years, the Association has successfully implemented numerous educational and scientific initiatives. The event’s success serves as a testament to the heightened interest among companies and the general public in preserving the dwindling population of this rare and aesthetically exquisite species. This year’s All-Russian census documented 87 leopards in Russia, marking a significant milestone. However, it is crucial to maintain momentum and continue the efforts to ensure the survival of this endangered species. Once again, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to the team for their triumph.
