Thanks to the irbis association, an injured inspector was evacuated by helicopter
One day during a traditional patrol of the Yungur-Tur farm in the Altai Republic, one of the inspectors climbed a tree to install an automatic camera that helps to record wild animals and trespassers. Inspector Alexei Dolgikh stumbled and fell from a great height, severely injuring his leg. The team of farm inspectors were in a remote and inaccessible area far from villages and medical assistance.
The team leader and the Yungur-Tur farm asked for help from the staff of the Irbis Association, which supports conservation projects for the preservation of the irbis. On the spot they could only provide first aid to the injured person — tight bandaging of the leg and injection of painkillers. The inspector could not move on foot and needed urgent medical assistance. Thanks to the prompt assistance of the Irbis Association, a helicopter was organized to evacuate the inspector. The conservationist was treated at the hospital.

We thank the Association "Irbis" and personally Ali Uzdenov, chairman of the general meeting of the Association "Irbis", for prompt and timely assistance.
Alexander Rozhaev, head of the hunting farm "Yungur-Tur".
The inspector’s colleagues regard him as fortunate because his injury was relatively minor, and he recently narrowly missed capturing a snow leopard with a camera trap that he had installed. The same inspector had previously captured video footage of an irbis using a conventional smartphone during the previous fall. The Yungur-Tur hunting farm has installed camera traps from Sailugemsky National Park, and the organizations share information and expertise.
This collaborative approach is not an isolated phenomenon; it is a model that has been adopted by numerous hunting farms and specially protected natural areas worldwide, including in the Far East, where it has been instrumental in the conservation of endangered species such as the Amur tiger and the Far Eastern leopard.
